Rural Lighting Electrical Ready Board Fire Extinguishing: Three-step Process Of Power Outage, Fire Extinguishing, And Alarm
If a fire is caused by aging, overload, or short circuit of the rural lighting electrical ready board, the three-step principle of "power outage, fire extinguishing, and alarm" should be followed to ensure personnel safety and minimize losses.
Step 1: Immediately cut off the power and cut off the fire source
After discovering a fire in the electrical ready board, the primary task is to cut off the power supply. If the fire is small and confirmed to be safe, the main switch can be quickly closed or the branch switch of the fire circuit can be unplugged to avoid the risk of explosion or electric shock caused by continuous current flow. If the fire has spread to the outside of the box or cannot be approached for operation, do not forcefully cut off the power, evacuate immediately and wait for professional rescue. It should be noted that rural electrical ready boards are often located outdoors or in utility rooms, and flammable materials may be piled up around them. Before cutting off power, the environment should be observed to prevent secondary fires caused by operation.
Step 2: Scientific firefighting, controlling the fire
After power outage, choose the extinguishing method according to the fire situation. If the fire is initially small in scope, a dry powder fire extinguisher or carbon dioxide fire extinguisher can be used to spray towards the root of the fire source to quickly isolate oxygen. Do not use water or foam fire extinguishers to put out live fire. Even if the power is cut off, the residual current may still cause electric shock or short circuit explosion of equipment. If the fire is too large to control, immediately evacuate to a safe area, cover the surrounding combustibles with wet cotton blankets or sand, delay the spread of the fire, and buy time for rescue.
Step 3: Call the police in a timely manner and evacuate the crowd
Regardless of the size of the fire, it is necessary to call 119 immediately to report the fire, and accurately explain the location of the fire, the type of electrical ready board, and whether there is a power outage. At the same time, organize the evacuation of surrounding personnel, especially reminding the elderly and children to stay away from the scene. Firefighting forces in rural areas may respond slowly, and continuous observation of the fire is necessary after reporting an alarm. If an explosion risk is detected (such as batteries or transformers in electrical ready boards), the evacuation area should be immediately expanded to ensure personal safety.
Reminder: Rural electrical ready boards should regularly check their wiring to avoid unauthorized connections, and be equipped with fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment to enhance their ability to handle initial fires.
