Leakage Treatment Of Rural Lighting Electrical Ready Board: Complete Process Of Power-off, Inspection, And Repair
If there is leakage in the rural lighting electrical ready board, it is easy to cause accidents such as electric shock and fire, and it needs to be handled according to standardized procedures to ensure safety.
Step 1: Emergency power outage
Do not touch the box directly when signs of leakage are found (such as the casing of the electrical ready board being live or the leakage protector frequently tripping). Quickly locate the main switch of the electrical ready board, turn it to the "OFF" position, and cut off the power supply of the entire lighting system. If the main switch cannot be operated, the switches of each branch can be disconnected sequentially to narrow the power outage range until the leakage phenomenon disappears and the problematic branch is locked.
Step 2: Comprehensive Inspection
After the power is cut off, use an insulated screwdriver to open the outer shell of the electrical ready board and focus on inspecting the following parts:
Line connection: Check whether each terminal is loose or oxidized, which may cause poor contact and result in arc leakage;
Electrical components: Check whether the leakage protector and circuit breaker are aging or damaged, and whether their shells have cracks or burnt marks;
Insulation performance: Use a 500V megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between the live wire and neutral wire, and between the live wire and ground wire. If the reading is below 0.5M Ω, it indicates that the insulation of the circuit is damaged;
Environmental factors: Observe whether the electrical ready board is damp, dusty, or has been bitten by mice and ants, resulting in exposed wires.
Step 3: Precise Repair
Take corresponding measures based on the inspection results:
If the wiring is loose, wrap the wire end with insulating tape and tighten it again;
Replace the leakage protector or circuit breaker of the same specification and model if the component is damaged;
The insulation damaged circuit needs to have its outer skin peeled off, the oxidized section cut off, the terminals re pressed and wrapped with insulation tape;
If the electrical ready board is damp, dry it with a dry cloth and place a desiccant inside the box. At the same time, repair the problem of roof leakage or floor moisture regain.
After the repair is completed, close the main switch and each branch switch, use a test pen to test whether the electrical ready board casing is live, and confirm that there are no abnormalities before resuming lighting use. If you encounter difficulties on your own, you should immediately contact a professional electrician and avoid risky operations.
