Moisture And Insect Proof Lighting Electrical Ready Board: A "moisture And Ant Resistant" Solution For Southern Rural Areas

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 33

In the humid and rainy environment of southern rural areas, where ants and insects are active, traditional lighting electrical ready boards are prone to short circuits, insect infestations, and damage to circuits due to moisture, leading to equipment failures and even safety hazards. To address this issue, it is necessary to construct a electrical ready board solution that is suitable for high humidity environments through integrated moisture-proof and insect proof design.

1. Sealing structure and waterproof material

Adopting an inner and outer double-layer sealing design, the high elasticity sealing strip achieves 360 ° no leakage, ensuring the IP66 waterproof performance of the box. The box is made of flame-retardant AP+ABS new material shell, which is resistant to high temperature and impact, and is equipped with brass wiring terminals to enhance conductivity and safety. The bottom cable hole needs to be sealed with waterproof adhesive and a natural ventilation and moisture removal channel should be reserved to maintain air circulation inside the box. At the same time, an inverted L-shaped rain cover is installed on the inside of the box door to prevent rainwater from seeping in through the ventilation holes. The ventilation window is equipped with a 1-5mm strip dust filter, which balances heat dissipation and insect prevention functions.

2. Active moisture-proof technology

Install SXSEPRI-NL anti condensation device in the switchgear with insufficient insulation margin, and automatically activate the heating and moisture removal function through the humidity sensor, effectively reducing the humidity inside the cabinet. In addition, electric desiccant can be placed, and its three-layer flame-retardant insulation packaging can absorb moisture and prevent metal parts from rusting and moldy. A replaceable dehumidification pad is installed at the bottom of the box, utilizing a conical bucket structure to enhance moisture absorption efficiency and further extend equipment lifespan.

3. Physical insect barrier

Install 304 stainless steel insect proof mesh in the heat dissipation holes, inlet and outlet holes, and other areas of the box, with a mesh diameter of ≤ 1mm, which can effectively block the invasion of mosquitoes, flies, termites, and other insects. Silicone sealant is used to fill the joints of the box to prevent ant and insect nesting channels. At the same time, it is recommended to clean up the clutter and insect eggs in the box every quarter, and spread safe insect repellents in the surrounding area to form a dual protection system.

4. Standardized installation and maintenance

When installing outdoors, the bottom edge of the box should be at least 2.5m above the ground to avoid water accumulation and soaking. The concealed box needs to reserve holes 20mm larger than each side of the box on the wall, install 10mm thick asbestos board and insect proof wire mesh on the back wall, and then smooth it with cement mortar to prevent cracking. Regularly check the sealing of the box, with a focus on inspecting rain covers, drainage channels, and other areas to ensure long-lasting moisture and insect resistance.
