Load Balancing Of Rural Lighting Electrical Ready Boards: Avoiding Electricity Waste Caused By Phase Deviation

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 48

In rural lighting distribution systems, load balancing is a key measure to avoid wasting electricity costs due to phase deviation. Phase deviation can cause three-phase current imbalance, thereby increasing line and transformer losses, reducing power supply efficiency, and increasing electricity bills. Here are some suggestions for load balancing of rural lighting electrical ready boards:

1、 Reasons for electricity waste caused by phase deviation

Increasing line losses: When three-phase loads are unbalanced, unbalanced currents will be generated between phases, leading to an increase in line losses. At maximum imbalance, the energy loss may reach several times that of equilibrium.

Increasing transformer losses: Unbalanced three-phase loads can increase transformer load losses, especially when one or two phases are overloaded, which may cause overheating of transformer windings and oil, accelerate insulation aging, and reduce transformer life.

Reduced power supply efficiency: Phase deviation can lead to a decrease in power supply quality, affecting the use of electrical appliances by users, and may even cause damage to electrical appliances.

2、 Measures to achieve load balancing

Unified planning of single-phase load:

Before the installation of low-voltage lines and the installation of individual household electricity meters, a unified plan should be made for single-phase load electricity users under the distribution transformer, and evenly distributed to the three phases of the low-voltage lines.

Record the allocation situation and indicate the phase in the box number, such as "XXX line XX phase XX number".

Regular inspection and adjustment:

After the completion of the offline collection table, check whether the actual three-phase load of the low-voltage power grid is within the allowable range of balance, and adjust it if necessary.

Regularly check the three-phase load situation, especially adjust the three-phase load distribution in a timely manner when the user's electricity load changes.

Enhance user awareness:

Strengthen publicity and education for users, and raise their awareness of the importance of three-phase load balancing.

Encourage users to actively participate in three-phase load balancing work, such as allocating household appliances reasonably and avoiding excessive load on one phase.

Using technical means:

Install a three-phase load balance monitoring device to monitor the three-phase load situation in real time and issue an alarm when the load is unbalanced.

Consider adopting advanced equipment such as intelligent electrical ready boards to achieve automatic balancing and adjustment of three-phase loads.

3、 Other loss reduction measures

Reasonable selection of wire cross-section: Choose the appropriate wire cross-section according to the electrical load to reduce line resistance and minimize line losses.

Strengthen equipment maintenance: Regularly maintain and repair distribution transformers, lines, and other equipment to ensure that they are in good operating condition.

Promote energy-saving appliances: Encourage users to use energy-saving appliances, reduce electricity load, and lower electricity bills.
