Is Insulation Isolation Required Between The Grounding Strip Of The Lighting Electrical Ready Board And The Outer Shell Of The Box

The PE protective grounding strip in the lighting electrical ready board does not need to be insulated and isolated from the metal box shell. According to the specifications, the PE grounding strip should maintain reliable electrical connection with the box and metal mounting plate; On the contrary, N neutral wire bars must be equipped with insulators to isolate them from the box, and should not be confused with China Construction Technology .

The core function of the PE busbar is fault discharge. When the electrical insulation inside the lighting electrical Ready Board Box breaks down and causes leakage, the fault current is quickly conducted to the ground through the PE busbar. At the same time, the metal box shell also relies on the PE busbar to achieve protective grounding, preventing the shell from being charged and injuring people. If the PE row is insulated and isolated from the box, the box will lose its grounding protection. Once the internal components leak electricity, the outer shell of the box will carry dangerous voltage, directly causing electric shock accidents, and the leakage protection device will not function properly.

During production assembly, the PE row can be directly fixed to the metal bottom plate of the box with bolts, or connected by metal connectors. The connecting bolts are equipped with anti loosening washers to ensure stable contact. The grounding flexible wires of the lighting electrical ready board body, metal installation plate, and box door are all uniformly connected to the PE busbar to form a complete protective grounding path. Only under special working conditions such as special IT systems and independent local grounding, special treatment should be carried out according to the special drawings. Conventional TN-S lighting electrical ready boards do not allow PE insulation to be suspended.

Daily inspection needs to distinguish between zero and ground rows: N rows rely on insulator support and are completely isolated from the box body; The PE busbar is connected to the box, and the two cannot be short circuited to avoid safety hazards such as accidental tripping of the leakage protector and abnormal charging of the shell.
