Rural Lighting Electrical Ready Board Safety: Lightning Protection, Moisture Resistance, Overload Prevention

In rural areas, the safety of lighting electrical ready boards is crucial as they are key equipment for power distribution and control. To ensure the safety of rural electricity use, it is necessary to focus on lightning protection, moisture prevention, and overload prevention measures for electrical ready boards.

Lightning protection: Rural areas are often located in open spaces, and electrical ready boards are susceptible to lightning strikes. Suitable lightning arresters, such as zinc oxide lightning arresters, should be installed at the incoming end of the electrical ready board. They have nonlinear volt ampere characteristics and can quickly respond to lightning currents, limiting overvoltage within a safe range and avoiding damage to electrical components inside the box caused by lightning waves. At the same time, ensure that the lightning arrester is well grounded with a grounding resistance of no more than 4 ohms, so that lightning current can quickly leak into the ground.

Moisture proof treatment: In rural environments with high humidity, if the electrical ready board is affected by moisture, it is easy to cause faults such as short circuits and electric leakage. The electrical ready board should be selected with a protection level not lower than IP44, and its shell can effectively block dust and splashes. When installing, choose a location with high terrain and good ventilation to avoid installation in low-lying and humid areas. Desiccant can be placed inside the box for regular inspection and replacement to absorb moisture. In addition, the inlet and outlet holes should be tightly sealed to prevent moisture from entering through cable gaps.

Overload prevention measures: The electricity load in rural areas varies greatly with seasons and daily needs. Overloading operation can accelerate equipment aging and even cause fires. The circuit breakers in the electrical ready board should be reasonably configured according to the actual electricity capacity, and their rated current should be slightly higher than the calculated current of the line. At the same time, installing overload protection devices can promptly cut off the power supply when the current exceeds the set value, protecting the safety of the circuit and equipment. Regularly inspect and maintain the electrical ready board, clean dust, tighten wiring terminals, ensure good contact, and avoid overloading caused by local overheating due to poor contact.
