Preventing Accidents in Rural Lighting Electrical Ready Boards: Prevention of Safety Accidents and Health Hazards
As a key node in power distribution, rural lighting electrical ready boards can easily cause safety accidents such as electric shock, fire, and even health hazards if not managed properly. The following preventive measures are proposed from three aspects: technical specifications, daily maintenance, and safe operation:
1、 Strictly follow technical specifications and build a solid foundation for safety
Third level distribution and second level leakage protection: The electrical ready board should adopt a third level distribution (main electrical ready board - electrical ready board - switch) and a second level leakage protection system to ensure that the parameters of the leakage protector match and are sensitive and reliable. For example, the rated leakage current of the leakage protector in the switch box should be ≤ 30mA, and the action time should be ≤ 0.1s. In humid places, it needs to be reduced to 15mA.
Box structure and material: The electrical ready board should be made of cold-rolled steel plate or flame-retardant insulation material, with a steel plate thickness of ≥ 1.2mm and surface anti-corrosion treatment. The box should be waterproof and dustproof, with a protection level of ≥ IP21 when opening the door and ≥ IP44 when closing the door.
Line and grounding specifications: Fixed line clips must be installed at the inlet and outlet of the line, insulated with a protective sheath, and secured in bundles; The N line and PE line should be connected to dedicated terminals separately, and it is strictly prohibited to wrap or hook them for grounding; The grounding resistance should comply with the standard, for example, the working grounding resistance of the neutral point on the low-voltage side of the distribution transformer should be ≤ 4 Ω.
2、 Strengthen daily maintenance and eliminate the root causes of hidden dangers
Regular inspection and replacement: Check the door locks, warning signs, and sealing of incoming and outgoing lines of the electrical ready board every month, test the function of the leakage protector every quarter, and replace immediately if problems such as damaged insulation layer and corroded brackets are found.
Overload and short circuit prevention: Overloading is strictly prohibited, and no more than two wires should be connected to the same terminal; Install arc separators to prevent arc short circuits and avoid using outdated equipment such as knife switches.
Environmental management: A safety passage of ≥ 1.2m should be left around the electrical ready board, and flammable materials should not be piled up; Installed in dry and ventilated areas, avoiding dust or humid environments.
3、 Standardize safe operations and reduce human risks
Professional operation and protection: During maintenance, it is necessary to cut off the previous power supply, hang a "Do Not Close" sign, and wear protective equipment such as insulated gloves and boots.
Emergency response: In the event of an electric shock accident, immediately disconnect the power supply and use a dry wooden stick or other insulated object to move the wires away; In case of fire, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers are preferred, and foam fire extinguishers shall be used after the power is cut off.
Health protection: Avoid staying near the electrical ready board for a long time to prevent electromagnetic radiation from affecting it; Maintain ventilation during maintenance to avoid inhaling toxic gases generated by the combustion of insulation materials.
