In rural areas, the normal operation of lighting electrical ready boards is related to the daily electricity safety of villagers. To ensure stable electricity usage, the following 5 parts must be carefully inspected every month.

1. Appearance inspection

Check if the outer shell of the electrical ready board is intact, free from damage, deformation, or rust. This is like human clothing, which not only looks unsightly when damaged, but may also affect the protection of internal equipment. If there are cracks in the shell, rainwater, dust, etc. are prone to enter, causing faults such as short circuits. At the same time, check if the box door can be closed properly and sealed properly to prevent small animals from entering and causing safety hazards.

2. Wiring terminals

The terminal block is a critical node for current transmission. Check the wiring for looseness every month, as looseness can lead to poor contact, generate electrical sparks, and cause fires. You can gently turn the terminal block with a screwdriver. If it can be easily turned, it indicates looseness and needs to be tightened in a timely manner. It is also necessary to check whether the wiring is overheated and discolored. If the wiring color turns black, it indicates that the current is too high or the contact is poor, and further investigation and treatment are needed.

3. Switches and Circuit Breakers

Check whether the switch can be opened and closed normally, and whether the action is flexible. Just like the brake system of a car, a malfunctioning switch can have serious consequences. Whether the trip indication of the circuit breaker has been reset. If it has not been reset, it indicates that an overload or short circuit fault may have occurred before, and the cause needs to be investigated. Meanwhile, observe the temperature of the circuit breaker. If it overheats, it may be due to excessive load or internal faults.

4. Indicator lights and instruments

The indicator light can intuitively reflect the working status of the electrical ready board, and check whether it lights up normally every month. Whether the data displayed on the instrument is accurate, such as whether the voltage and current values are within the normal range. If the instrument display is abnormal, it may be a sensor malfunction or circuit problem, and it needs to be repaired in a timely manner.

5. Lightning protection and grounding devices

Lightning activity is more common in rural areas, and lightning protection devices are crucial. Check if the lightning arrester is damaged and if the grounding wire is securely connected. The grounding device can introduce lightning into the ground, protecting equipment and personnel safety. If the grounding is poor, lightning may damage the electrical ready board equipment.

Inspecting these 5 parts of the rural lighting electrical ready board every month can effectively prevent electrical accidents and ensure the electrical safety of villagers.
