What Are The Hazards Caused By Sand And Dust Entering The Interior Of The Lighting Electrical Ready Board? How To Clean Up Internal Dust And Sand?
Dust invades the lighting electrical ready board, posing a prominent hazard.
Dust adheres to the surfaces of busbars, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks, forming a conductive layer when exposed to moisture, reducing insulation performance, and easily causing creepage, flashover, phase to phase short circuit, and leakage tripping. In severe cases, it can cause arc fires. Dust covering components can hinder heat dissipation, accelerate insulation aging of cables and plastic parts due to continuous temperature rise, and shorten device lifespan. Fine sand getting stuck in the operating mechanism of the circuit breaker can cause the opening and closing to be stuck and the protection to refuse to move; Deposition in the gaps of the wiring terminals increases contact resistance and causes joint heating and erosion. Sand and dust can accelerate the corrosion of metal copper bars and fasteners, long-term damage the stability of conductive connections, and increase the risk of failure in outdoor windy and sandy areas.
Cleaning must be carried out by certified electricians, strictly following the procedures of power-off, electricity inspection, and tagging and locking. Dry dust removal is adopted, with priority given to using anti-static small vacuum cleaners to remove floating dust. Insulated soft bristled brushes are used to gently sweep gaps and dead corners from top to bottom, and then dust-free dry cloths are used to wipe the surface of components. If compressed air is needed for blowing, the pressure should not be too high, and dust should be blown diagonally to avoid blowing into deeper gaps. Wiping with damp cloth, water, or corrosive solvents is strictly prohibited throughout the process to prevent moisture and short circuits. After cleaning, recheck whether the wiring is loose, check whether the sealing strip and lighting electrical ready board door seal are intact, block the sand and dust infiltration channel, and confirm that there is no residual sand and dust before closing the power supply.
